Magnus Energy Services supplies a versatile and rugged range of solar photovoltaic panels in terms of size and capacity up to 365 Watts to meet individual or multiple installations and portable or permanent requirements. The Photovoltaic Module is highly resistant to water, abrasion, hail impact and other severe weather conditions, making it suitable for use in any climate.

They are intended for use in safe areas or made potentially hazardous by the presence of flammable liquids, gases or vapours (Zone 1 and Zone 2). Suitable for Category 2 and Category 3 G and are ATEX and IECEx certified products.

Custom designed solar powered battery back-up systems up to 48 VDC & 5000 Ah to provide required autonomy for a multitude of applications in safe & hazardous areas to support applications with reliable and economical energy source including lighting, Airconditioning, remote marine navigation and aviation warning systems etc.

Explosion proof battery boxes feature the versatility to house any type of sealed Nickel Cadmium or Lead Acid battery from all recognised battery manufacturers. Material: 316L stainless steel, and galvanised or painted steel.

Customised Distribution Boards can range from 2 Way to 60 Way are intended for use in areas made potentially hazardous by the presence of flammable liquids, gases or vapours (Zone 1 and Zone 2). Certified for Group IIB or IIB + H2 locations. The enclosures available in SS316l or Aluminium alloy with less than 0.2% copper content are chromate primed and polyester powder coated for increased protection against corrosion in hostile environments.

Product Description

A Power Control Unit monitors the incoming power from the Solar Photovoltaic Panel and provides the power to the selected load as well as maintaining that the Battery Pack on the system is fully charged to enable it to provide the full voltage required for the desired autonomy. With suitably rated distribution and short circuit components contained within, the controller enclosure provides total protection for the system as well as providing constant voltage and current indication via the panel mounted meters.

To maintain the life of the batteries within the Battery Enclosure, the Power Control Unit also controls battery charging and prevents battery deep discharge.

Our Power Control Units can be used in conjunction with other Magnus Energy Services supplied products, such as Solar Photovoltaic Panels and Battery Enclosures, to create a cost effective renewable energy power solution for remote locations where traditional power sources are uneconomical due to high infrastructure costs.
